School-Level SURAVI: A Moment from My School

My Diary · Photographs shared on 1 October 2026

A moment from school-level SURAVI

This diary entry brings together photographs from school-level SURAVI at Govt. Primary School, Negipali. I shared these memories on Facebook on 1 October 2026, and I am now keeping them together here with more space to describe the school setting and the children who appear in the photographs. The collection includes my photograph with a microphone, classroom views and moments beside the SURAVI banner.

Our banner carries the theme “ସମୃଦ୍ଧ ଭାଷା ସମୃଦ୍ଧ ସଂସ୍କୃତି”—a connection between language and culture. Its colours and Odia cultural motifs give the photographs a sense of place. They offer a starting point for thinking about how language, creativity and local identity can be part of a child’s experience of school.

Sharing the space with my students

The photographs with students are an important part of this collection. They show the school gathering from different angles, including children together beside the banner and smaller moments with me. Keeping several photographs allows this diary page to include more of the people and setting around the occasion.

Creative opportunities at school can help children become comfortable expressing an idea in front of others. That expression may begin with a short sentence, a drawing, a song or simply answering a question. The educational idea is to make room for participation in ways that suit different children, while offering encouragement and time to practise.

Language, culture and confidence

A banner like this can also become a classroom conversation. Children can notice its words, colours and pictures, ask what they represent and connect them with things they recognise in their own surroundings. Language becomes easier to explore when it is connected to something visible and familiar.

For teachers, such occasions invite reflection on how to support confidence. Listening carefully, recognising effort and welcoming different forms of expression are useful habits throughout the school year. Creativity has room to grow when children feel that their ideas deserve attention and that trying is a valuable part of learning.

A collection to revisit

The group photograph and the smaller student photographs complete this memory alongside the cover portrait. Each shows a different part of the same school setting. I am keeping them in My Diary so readers can see the people around the occasion as well as its theme.

This entry is a photographic record of our school-level SURAVI moments, shared from my own Facebook collection. It is also a reminder of why I want this diary to include experiences beyond lesson notes: the classroom is a place for language, creativity, participation and shared memories, and those connections deserve space on the page.
